The Accreditation and Coordination of English Language Services (ACELS) is a legacy function of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). ACELS is currently the national body responsible for the development and management of an inspection/ recognition scheme for English Language Teaching organisations (ELTOs) nationally. All recognised ELTOs are listed on the Schools section of this website.

The Accreditation and Co-ordination of English Language Services (ACELS) was established in 1969 under the auspices of the Irish Department of Education & Science to control standards in English Language Teaching (ELE) schools and organisations through an inspection/recognition scheme. The list of recognised ELE organisations is published on an annual basis and includes the contact details of all recognised ELE organisations.

The list of recognised ELE organisations is published on an annual basis at the beginning of each calendar year – please see the Schools section of this website for List of ACELS Recognised English Language Teaching Organisations.

All recognised ELTOs may carry the following legend: Recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland, for English language teaching.
